Laptop manufacturer and model?

Can you boot into safe mode?

Can you enter the BIOS?

Why do you say...Windows Automatic Update is responsible for your situation?

Louis

Thanks louis.

Laptop Toshiba.

Not sure of model.

Can boot into safe mode.

Have never tried to enter BIOS.

Not sure what that is.

Was downloading  Windows Automatic Update when it happened.

Possibly for .net framework.

Model is Satellite L450D - 128.

When problem first happened - at 10.45am -  I tried to do a system restore back to

last night.

It did not work.

Then did another system restore, also in safe mode, back to last Sunday.

No luck.

Tried last known good configuration after that.

Still no success.
