Hello and Welcome -

What methods were used to remove the infection, as this may have caused a problem ?

Do you know the name(s) of any of the infection(s) ?

Thank You -

Hi, thanks for reply. I used Avast anti virus to remove the malware. I started quick scan and long list of corrupted files appeared. I clicked remove all. After that there was second scan when machine was booting. In this case two files were found which I deleted.
The first time I noticed that something is wrong was when opening common website (say google), a "red shield" with cross appeared saying the site was not safe. I was then unable to download any antimalware as the "red shield" treated it as virus. Several files had padlock in windows/system32/drivers/ including afd.sys. I deleted the files and copied new in place.

Hi -

Are you able to download anything in Normal Mode, or else try this in Safe Mode With Networking -

How to start Windows in Safe Mode
EDIT -You can transfer via USB flash drive if needed from a clean computer.

Download Security Check by Screen317 from HERE
* Save it to your Desktop.
* Double-click SecurityCheck.exe
* Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
* A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.
Note: If a security program requests permission to access the Internet, allow it to do so.

Thank You -

Unfortunately neither in safe mode nor in normal windows I do not have internet. I will download the software through mobile and transfer it to laptop via cable. A bit awkward but this is all I have so far. I will do it this evening. Thanks

Hi -

You seem to still have Avast programs installed along with ESET Smart Security -
Please follow These Directions to remove it -
Safe Mode is required to remove Avast Antivirus program.

We need Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free (aka MBAM) to desktop and install it
Always check for updates if not done during the install
Run a Quick Scan only and remove all items found
Copy / Paste the report it generates back here

Thank You -

Ok, I hope this is done now.

Please ask if you want more help -

Always keep these 2 programs on your desktop for future use -

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free (aka MBAM) to desktop and install it
Always check for updates if not done during the install
Run a Quick Scan only and remove all items found
Copy / Paste the report it generates back here

Reboot after you post the log -

Download SUPERAntiSpyware Free (aka SAS) and install it to desktop
Always check for updates if not done during the install
Select Quick Scan only and remove all items found
Copy / Paste the report it generates back here

Reboot after you post the log -

Only keep 1 Antivirus installed, and remove the others.

You could check Java for updates, as the latest is now Version 7 Update 25 -

Regards -
