I really don't know how to start. Had a trojan but I THINK it is clean now. I have a problem with ieframe.dll and somehow I went from Windows XP sp3 to explorer 6. I lost so much, desktop shortcuts, start menu won't pull up programs, administrator tools is gone except for icon in the control panel, no indexing, search is also gone in the start-up menu, cannot download anything to help. The programs that did get through don't connect to their scan engine or update at all. I haven't had any updates in weeks to get through. The programs that did download pop-up anytime and freeze and won't close easily. Alot of apps for such things like .ink or .dll are just gone. I think about 72 of them according to Optizimer Pro. I tried downloading win 8 for xp but no such luck. Can I put in a command of some sort in safe mode with command prompt to fix the downloader? Or ieframe.dll? I just know nothing about computers- PLEASE HELP   Thanks   Tammie

Hello, Tamj
I split you to your own topic here.
Looks like you are still infected and we should get a deeper look. Please follow this Preparation Guide and post in a new topic.
Let me know if all went well.
