Firefox and SimCity recently stopped working. Firefox will open, but then it immediately freezes. SimCity will show the splash screen, then the screen will go black, like its trying to load. Then it will freeze. So, I ran my Trend Micro virus protection. It found nothing. I tried to download Ad-Aware and Spybot, and both gave me an error message when I tried to open them. I assume that's because of a virus of some sort. So, I've followed all the instructions laid out, and here is my log:

Hello minidoxigirli and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I do not see anything obvious in the log so let's do a little standard cleanupand have one of these files checked out.

Download CCleaner and install it. If you cannot download it to this machine then download it to a different machine and put it on a disk to get it to this machine.

Start CCleaner and click on the Run Cleaner button in the lower right-hand corner. When it is finished close CCleaner.

Let's also have one of these files out. Go to the Jotti's malware scan page and use the buttons at the top of the page to browse to this file(s) on your hard drive to submit for a scan:C:\WINDOWS\IECheck.exe
Several scanning engines will be used to check the file for any threats. Please post the results of the scans back here along with a new HijackThis log.

Cheers.
