I have a Dell Inspiron 570 with an AMD Sempron 140 , 2.70 GHz. I still have issues with online gaming and was wondering if the processor could be updated and if that would make any difference in performance? Running Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 6.00 GB ram, 64 Bit with 500 hard drive. Can I upgrade this processor and if so, will it benefit the speed and accuracy of my desktop?

Hi Freespirit715,

Inspiron 570 supports AMD® Sempron, AMD Athlon™ II X2/X3/X4, AMD Phenom™ II X2/X3/X4 processors.

You can definitely upgrade the processor from Sempron (Single Core) to an Athlon II or Phenom II Dual/Quad Core processors, that will increase the system performance. For insturctions on how to replace the processor, please refer the Service Manual by downloading it from the following link:

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
