Hello everyone!
What do you do once a superbly sensible design goes unused as, not because of your fault, the client loses interest within the project?

Depends on your legal position. If the rights in the design - whatever it is - are yours, you would be fully entitled to try and find another customer for it or market it yourself. If you were doing the work on contract to them and they have paid you for the work, the rights in it may be their's and then it is their decision what to do with it, and that includes doing nothing.

If there is a significant amount of money at stake here, it might be worth your while getting legal advice. Be even cheaper if you can get their written agreement that you can have all the rights in this design.

Best of luck,

Chris Cosgrove

If they were my designs, they would be scribbled on the walls of every public restroom I used.

To err is Human. To blame it on someone else is even more Human.
