Hi there people im new at this and need help. im trying to build a gaming computer but i'm a little nervous when looking for parts because i'm afraid not everything will be compatible. I will be playing mostly RPGS and RTS games. My budget is around $850-900 with a copy of windows 7. I will be keeping my old mouse, keyboard, speakers and monitor. My max resolution is 1440 by 900. I wont be overclocking and i plan on running CrossFire somewhere down the line. As of now im planing on ordering the parts within the next 2-3 weeks. If anyone can help me out i would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.

All the parts will be compatiable with each other but the only component i would change is the power supply to the Seasonic G550 because it is more reliable, efficient and its modular.

Really can't poke any holes in that build.

Ditto on the PSU.  killerx525 suggested a very good PSU for about the same price.  The Rosewill (Sirfa OEM)

is no slouch, but there are a few build quality concerns, caps etc.

Like the motherboard, good PCIe spacing so your cards don't overheat.  Not a big fan of PCI (instead of PCIE) slots on modern builds, but for $100, I could live with it.

While you are pricing stuff, take a look at a new Haswell build.  4XXX CPU and a Z87 board.  I haven't had time to check out prices in depth yet, but you might be able to spend $40-50 more and get a longer lasting system.  Just a thought.

3770K @4.5, Corsair H100, GTX780, 16gig Samsung, Obsidian 700 (yes there is a 700)

Thanks for the feedback people. i was looking at reviews for the SeaSonic psu mentioned above and while it did get really good reviews one problem that was reacquiring was the length of the cords. i was just wondering will this be a problem for my build?

No as your case is a mid-atx size, so the cables should sufficiently be long enough.

The OP is not.

I just realised your missing the motherboard, i presume you have all already picked one.
