I am using a dell vostro laptop with windows 7 installed. It boots at normal speed. I mean I get the desktop screen at normal speed. But after that it takes a bit of time to load when we click on anything. Then it begins to work at normal speed. What may be the reason? I have two graphics cards, intel hd and nvidea GeForce installed in the laptop. Please help.

You may have too many startup programs. Try to check those programs that will start on boot. You would also check for any hard disk error.
