My vizio tablet also has a damaged power port. I first stripped the USB cord and taped the wires to the main board, and that worked!... but then I tried to solder them, later, and that did NOT turn out well---too small. Now the board is damaged. Tried connecting USB directly into battery, but the battery got really hot. I am wondering if there is a resistor( or something) that is between the power port and the battery terminal. I really need a detailed diagram of the circuit board...anyone know where I might find one? Thanks!

Sadly no, but you can try asking here as this is one of the comunities that can help... (Just a random link for the tablet, not your issue.)
