Having Random Drops Help Appreciated

I will try to describe the problem the best I can I have tried to have a few friends help me with no luck so far basically the issue im having and im told it could be a virus or a windows 7 issue but when I am playing games online or on skype every 20-40m or so I will have what I think is a connection loss it is not showing a connection loss in the system tray which is why I was told it might be a windows 7 issue I do not have any cell phones microwaves or anything like that near my computer and I am running on a wireless line 4-5 bars at all times usually around 25mbs connection any help is greatly appreciated I can post specs or more if I get any replies.


im on a laptop G74s asus g series


Router/Modem (it is a combo unit) Cisco DPC3825


and im on cox communications internet
