Hello- I'm having a a problem with printing PDFs from a proprietary database program. I have 6 computers on a network, some running Win XP, some Win 7. Two of the computers cannot print PDFs from the database program, and I think it might have something to do with updating the .net framework (on those two computers, the .net framework WAS updated, while on the other four computers that can print PDFs from the database program, it was NOT updated). When I try to print from the ones that cannot, it gives me the following error:

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Load report failed.

I also have the long text detailing the error (which I got by clicking on "Details" below the error message pasted above). I remember a site where people could post log files for experts to take a look, but I forgot if that was here or on a different site, so I'll spare posting it for now.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to get the two computers that can't print those PDFs to print without rolling back the .net updates (assuming the .net updates are what caused the issue)?

Thank you for any info.

I decided to post the full error message:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Well, it's the database application itself that prints the file in a PDF-like format, and I don't think there is a middleman program between it and the printer software.

Hi

In that case i suggest to contact the customer support of the software maker. You can also do a system restore to a date prior to this happens. It may solve the issue.

Hi Gatsby,

I have not dealt with Crystal Reports in a while but it does seem like it is related to a .net Framework.

You can always contact SAP for support in regards to this issue. If you have purchased it from a certified partner, you can always contact him for support also.

X

Sorry for the late reply- thanks for the suggestions- I will try the work-around with another PDF creator and if that doesn't work, Reckless X's suggestion. BC Advisor, the original software developer is unfortunately no longer around :(.
