hi,

My Mouse seems to move in an awkward way at times that is i ask it to point elsewhere but it does something else....

Never noticed it move on its own...

the touchpad for the lappy is not disabled when I use the mouse....

the mouse is hp x1500

the Laptop has Windows 8 Pro upto Date(All "Important Updates installed")

I did not have any antivirus installed for around 10 days..

it was after my Eset(Nod 32) trial got over and sadly windows Defender was not turned back on.

No slowdown or unwanted popus just the mouse issue

So am I just False Alarming??

but I have not experienced this problem before and i also did not have a Wried USB mouse before used use the touchpad

That what I thought, no infection.. I think it's a hard/soft ware issue . try reinstalling the mouse software.. Then if needed ask in External hardware for further solutions.

This seems more of a mouse issue than a malware issue. Still to make sure, run through the following:

Download Malware Bytes Anti Malware from here.

Run a quick scan with it and delete whatever infections it picks up.

Download Eset Online Scanner from here.

Run and clean any infections it finds.

If you are using a usb mouse are you sure your hands are not postioned on the laptop keyboard in a way that will sometimes cause your thumbs to end up on the touchpad and move the mouse?
