Hello, exactly which connection are you referring to?
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

Google owns Youtube  since 2006.   What connection are you hoping to end or break.

Unfortunately having a Google account means you have YouTube bundled with it. It's part of the Google package. The only way to get rid of YouTube is to get rid of Google.

The Internet is so big, so powerful and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life.
Andrew Brown (1938-1994)

A learning experience is one of those things that say, "You know that thing you just did? Don't do that." Douglas Adams (1952-2001)

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination circles the world." Albert Einstein (1879-1955)

I wish it was still option though, like it was a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the explanation. When I checked my gmail this morning there is an email from Google with a list plus links to YouTube videos Google thinks I might 'like'. ??? Curiously 3 of these directly relate to topics which I recently searched information about over the net. I do object to this in the same way that I object to Google forever asking me to 'invite' email contacts to join their social networking 'circles' and worse, sending me contacts to people I might want to make friends with!?

There is always a 'delete' function which usually solves most problems. :)
