Hello to all,

I am looking at getting a few RevoDrives from OCZ. I dont really understand how the PCIE ports work other then i know they are used for video cards, and that the 16 or 8 stands for the bits it can move, and that you can use the SLI to run two video cards. Other than that im lost.

I use my computer for 3d modeling and game programming. I want to get the OCZ RevoDrive 480 and 280 and put them in my PCIE slots. My motherbaord is a SabertoothX79 and it has two PCI-E 3.0 slots. one is rated at 16 and the other is rated at 16 or dual X 16X16, which i have two of. i am using one of them for my Nvidia Quatro 4000 Graphics Card. The two RevoDrives im getting are:

OCZ Technology Revo Drive 3 Series 480GB PCI Express 8 GB-s Slim - RVD3-FHPX4-480G

OCZ Technology Revo Drive 3 Series 240GB PCI Express 8 GB-s Slim - RVD3-FHPX4-240G

I read on a forum that these are compatible with my board. When i get these, are they just plug in and go, other than choosing which one i want to boot from? or do i have to change up something else in the Bios?
