Samsung Galaxy Mini USB connection problems

So up until an hour ago, I was still able to connect my phone to my laptop just fine. But now that I tried to copy some files again, the 'Connect USB' (or something) like that won't appear on the pull(?) screen (whatever you call that).

Of course I've already scoured the net for possible solutions:

*Found the 'USB debugging' (something). Unchecked it. No change.

*USB Tethering. Won't even let me check it. Says that no USB is connected. (It IS connected though)

*USB Utilities. Pressed the 'Connect storage to PC'. Says that a USB cable is connected and I should remove it :'D


^Oh yes. Even if it does not let me connect to the computer, it still charges.


Should 'Factory data reset'? D':

I hope not.

Is your phone charge during connecting cable to pc
