[font=Arial][size=2]Let's see, I'm 62 and late come to computers. I'm trying to learn as quickly as possible, but first I have to find out where the answers are. Right now, I want to learn how to use Safe Mode.

I'm using an Acer Aspire 3000 laptop, XP Home/sp2, my browser is IE7 Beta 2, and I'm on Hughesnet for my ISP. I use the full Norton Suite to cover my butt. ( No, it isn't my first choice, the techies at Circuit City loaded it and I haven't gotten up the nerve to unload it, yet.) I have taken several of HP's free classes, so I am starting to understand this piece of frustration. Now, I 'm trying to fill in the gapping pits in what I know, as I find them.

Let's just assume that I'm dumb as owl poop and go from there. Up, Up, and Away! It's the only direction I can go right now.

You have found a very good place to acquire knowledge, or to ask questions, or to get help with a computer problem. For example, BC has a tutorial that explains and shows you how to use Safe Mode:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-start-windows-in-safe-mode/

Another very useful section is the Mini-Guide Forum.

Welcome to BC!
