Hello, I have an acer laptop that has recently been giving me some trouble. When it is on(and im using it) sometimes it will blue screen and proceed to shut down. Then there are times when i have it closed, but still on, and it will turn off in like this. When i open it up it states that windows did not shut down successfully. Every time I start the computer I first hear a loud beeping noise for 1-15 seconds and then it loads for a bit then sends me straight to windows repair, which never helps. One thing that I think may be causing the issue is a compatability issue(the prompt comes up every time I manage to fully start the computer) with some part of the c drive. I am not tech savvy/very bad with computers. If anyone would be willing to help, I would greatly appreciate this as I cannot afford a new computer at this time. Thank you all.

Hi,

I'm not the expert but that beeping at the startup sounds like it's trying to tell you that there is a problem, which is obvious as it isn't working correctly. My initial guess is that the hard drive may be on it's last leg.

The blue screen and shut down symptom sounds like a heat problem.

If you have a trusted friend that understands computers better you might ask them for an opinion before trying to find an honest repair shop. I don't think that just doing a reinstall of the operating system will resolve the problem.

Sorry I can't be more positive

Of late I have noticed that the computer tends to get very hot, as you stated. Could a fan possibley solve this problem? I looked on another thread and it stated that it might be a power failure/something along those lines problem, I'm not sure though, because as I previously stated I'm no expert with computers. Thanks for the reply though.
