Hi.

I want a program that will do one simple task.

I download music from a cd onto the pc and then onto my mobile phone via an sd card.

I want to be able to "cut" a segment from a song and have it as a ringtone so basically i want to be able to chop up a song...i dont need to be able to add effects just chop chop chop!!

Thanks BC

Brian

PS... Free programms are the best...im cheap!!

Hi Brian.
Audacity will edit Ogg Vorbis, MP3, and WAV sound files.
MP3DirectCut edits mp3 only.
Both are free.
If you have Nero installed by chance, you can use Nero Wave Editor. (.wav files only)

You're welcome.
You didn't say what type audio file your phone will play back so I just "threw" them out there.
My cell will only play back midi's so none of the above would work for me.

Wavepad should work too. I use it every once in a while (chopping up wavs recorded via Winamp). It processes .mp3 and .wav, but only records to .wav. It comes in both a free and a pro version.
