There are a limited number of laptops that will support the OS. You can Google to see if your model will support it. Not sure why you would want a touchscreen centric OS on a laptop? But it's been done. Just need the right OS version that matches a supporting hardware platform.

If you want Android for just downloading speed, I think you have issues beyond just an OS. I have an Android ICS tablet and it takes more than a few seconds to download a song. In fact my desktop and laptop are both faster than my tablet by a small margin. The difference between the three isn't huge but it is noticeable.

I think the easier fix is to see where the bottleneck is for you on the laptop. Not a wholesale change of trying to fit a smartphone/tablet touch based OS onto a laptop.
