Hi BC,

So, I have a MacBook Pro that I am running OSX 10.8 with parallels 8 on it. The OSX side of the computer seems to be running fine. The Windows 7 Ultimate is on a virtual machine and does not seem to be running fine. I noticed yesterday that many more Windows Updates than usual were occurring. After the computer would restart there would be another update immediately. I thought it was because I just recently got this Windows 7 up and running.

So, a couple other fishy things were happening that's when I started to dig a little deeper and I found that it was a much bigger issue than I realized. Anyway, I am wondering if you can help. The virtual machine is running with another Windows update waiting for me, I took off Avast so that I could scan it with Spybot 2 and after that ComboFix. When ComboFix was done, I needed to replace my antivirus so I put AVG on it (I was mad at Avast a little, but mostly myself).

Help would be appreciated. I need to learn how to maintain my computer better. I am wondering if it will be more efficient to just reinstall everything...

Regards,

Aaron
