Dell Studio XPS with Windows 7 Professional

Constantly having issues with software and hardware "not responding", especially the dvd burner and MSWord. Drivers all updated, but does not make a difference. Had a PC check done by Dell online and it did not find anything wrong. PC gets very slow at times and so does the broadband. I'm at my wits end here and need to find out what's wrong so I can fix it. :smash: Help would be appreciated very much. TY. :thumbup2:

As I previously stated, Windows 7 Professional is the OS. I use Malwarebytes, Panda and ZoneAlarm firewall. I've taken off Panda & Zone Alarm, but still getting "not responding" to dvd burner and MSWord.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

 

Checkmark the following checkboxes:

  List last 10 Event Viewer log

  List Installed Programs

 List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

 

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

I would uninstall:

 

ZoneAlarm LTD Toolbar

EasyCleaner (Version: 2.0.6.380)

ZoneAlarm Security Toolbar 

 

I would then install Microsoft Security Essentials and SUPERAntiSpyware in their stead...and see how the system runs.

 

Programs like Easy Cleaner...are capable of doing more harm than good, so I would follow the above steps by running the sfc /scannow command (which will replace any damaged/missing system files.
