I recently got the sweet-packs virus. I completely reset my computer to default and the virus seems to be gone as I have done several system scans, I just want to make sure that the virus is completely gone. Thank You.

Hello and Welcome -

Please list your Operating System (XP/Vista/Win7) and Antivirus program(s)

Also list the main Internet Browsers that you use (F/fox / I.E. / Chrome)

Please download AdwCleaner to desktop.
Temporary disable your Antivirus while the program runs
Close all other running programs including your browser, as your computer will be rebooted after the scan.
Double click on the AdwCleaner icon to run the program
Vista or Win7 users Right click and select Run as Administrator
Select DELETE from the menu
Confirm with OK when asked.
A logfile will be produced after the reboot, please post it back here -

Next : Download Junkware Removal Tool to desktop
Again disable your Antivirus while the program runs, just to avoid conflicts
Double click on the new icon to start the program
Vista or Win7 users Right click and select Run as Administrator
Follow the directions in the Black box and the program will run
Your computer will not be rebooted, but a logfile will be produced
Please post it back here -

Look in Control Panel > Add/Remove or Programs and Features for any programs relating to Sweet-packs or Sweet-Im and remove them

Thank You -

I checked in Uninstall programs and nothing with sweetpacks was there. Could this be because I did a complete system restore to factory settings?

Those reports seem clear of the sweetpacks item.

You may have removed it with the reinstall -

Ok Thanks. I was just wondering because when I did the restore, it was still the homepage of internet explorer but I reset Internet Explorer and google search became the homepage. Thanks for the help though.
