I caught win32/kryptic trojan  on my win 7 64 bit enterprise  and I am having hell with it
I think I have it out,  I have run eset, hyjackthis, spybot search and destroy,tdsskiller  and htman pro 64bit , the system seems to be clean the scans are not finding anything BUT.... security essentials can not restart and could not be uninstalled ( i manually uninstalled it with both revo and manual regkey deletion) I am getting windows updates but only at shut down ( I can not manually run windows update)  every thing I download in IE says it is a virus and is immedialy deleted also everything downloaded in firefox and cyberfox are deleted and greyed out in the download folder, chrome however works fine. my fire wall is back and functioning but windows defender can not start. attached is my hyjack this log and it loks like i may have some root kits but i am not sure  I have tried to delete al the root entrieswith no data files but they come right back after reboot ( i have also disbaled restore ad removed all restore points( the virus also did this to all restore points before monday )

Is this a do over clean nuke and reinstall or do you think I can save my girl?

the main trouble I seem ot have is the download deleteions and no security center and no manual windows update  any help would be greatly appreciated

thank you

Hello, Welcome to BleepingComputer.
I'm nasdaq and will be helping you.

If you can please print this topic it will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps.
===

Search and delete the AdWare, PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) installed on your computer.

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your Desktop.
  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Delete tab follow the prompts.
  • A log file will automatically open after the scan has finished.
  • Please post the content of that log file with your next answer.
  • You can find the log file at C:\AdwCleaner[Rn].txt (n is a number).
===

Please download ComboFix from any of the links below, and save it to your desktop. For information regarding this download, please visit this web page: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Link 1
Link 2

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

IMPORTANT....

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

3. Do not install any other programs until this if fixed.

How to : Disable Anti-virus and Firewall...
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html

Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it will produce a report for you.
  • Please post the C:\ComboFix.txt
  • Note:
    Do not mouse click ComboFix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall

    Note: If you have difficulty properly disabling your protective programs, refer to this link --> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html

    Note: If after running ComboFix you get this error message "Illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion." when attempting to run a program all you need to do is restart the computer to reset the registry.
    ==============

    HijackThis doesn't handle Windows 7 well. In your case I need to see a final DDS Log.
    You should remove HijackThis using the Add/Remove Programs list.

    Please download and run this DDS Scanning Tool. Nothing will be deleted. It will just give me some additional information about your system.

    Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links, if you no longer have it available. Save it to your desktop.

    1: DDS.scr (Not recommended if you use Chrome to download this .scr file. Use the other options.)
    2: DDS.pif
    3: DDS.COM

    Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
    A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
    Notepad will open with the results.
    Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
    Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run.

    dds_scr.gif

    Please just paste the contents of the DDS.txt log in your next post. DO NOT attach the log.
    ===

    Please paste the logs in your next reply, DO NOT ATTACH THEM
    Let me know what problem persists.
