Hmmmm.................. good point (question)!

Like a person from Texas is a "Texan".

I'm from New Hampshire, and as far as I know, we never called ourselves (or where called by others) any certain nick name. Although, we had a clever name for people from Massachusetts. The Abbreviation of Massachusetts is "Mass". Well, using my better judgement, I won't post what we put after Mass..... :flowers:

Any other states that have clever names (like Texas and Texans)?
War produces veterans, wounded both physically and mentally. They have sacrificed for us.....and it is now our job to help these veterans, as they have already helped us in ways we will never know, in ways that we cannot fathom, and in ways that we take granted every day.

Some people get around the awkward plurals by using the state nickname, for example, Hawkeyes for Iowans.
Cheers,

I believe these are called demonyms.

New Zealanders are either Kiwi, Maori or tourist.
In Denmark, the Danish are Danes.
In Finland, Finns.
HongKong, Hongkies... Lol.

Oklahoma, Okies...
I'm in Florida, that makes me a cracker.
Neighbor Georgia is a sand-hiller.
Ohio, Buckeye.
I've always heard Cheese head for those in Wisconsin.

These are fun. Anymore?

Ahh, the Buckeye, a useless nut. The only good ones are made of chocolate and peanut butter!
