For the past few days when I boot up my PC it freezes at the black screen just before the password screen is supposed to appear. I have been able to run in Safe Network Mode just to be able to access the Internet. For the time being I'm leaving it in Sleep Mode or I will spend 12+ attempts to boot up in windows normal mode. I have an Acer Aspire X1700 Pc with a Windows Vista 64-bit OS.

I have todays results from Mini Tool Box and use Comodo Internet Pro Anti Virus program. I also run CCleaner and SuperAntiSpyware on occasions, but nothing is found in my computer by anything I use. Would anyone know why this just started happening at random?

My wild guess would be...a damaged profile.

Another topic you initiated, http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/494481/internet-explorer-has-stopped-working/ , has been moved to Am I infected forum on the assumption that it's the same system and the malware possibility needs to be addressed propelrly first.

I am closing this topic, pending the results of your other topic.

If you have any questions, please contact me via PM.
