Hi fellas!

I'm new on the boards and as desperate as can be on finding a solution to my problem. I've searched all over the internet for days and cannot find a solution.
My wireless network says I'm connected to the internet but in fact I am not.  It shows that the wireless connection is excellent and strong but there is no internet. No browsers work, no chat clients such as yahoo or oovoo.  Basically anything that requires an internet connection does not work.

I've tried everything that's mentioned on the web such as resetting the ip, renewing the ip, flushing the dns, enter commands such as winsock reset, netsh ip reset (something like that) and other various similar commands.  There seems to be no solution.

The internet does not even work in Safe Mode with Networking.

When I check the properties of my wireless connection it says enabled and shows me a healthy connection. I can ping google, yahoo successfully.

I wonder if it’s a virus or malware. I tried cleaning everything out with malwarebytes (mbam) and it seems to be clean. However, the mbam was 30 days out of update from the database.  In order to update it I would have to connect to the internet.  A real paradox there.  Real dilemma I'm in fellas.

This tidbit might give you a clue as to what is going on.  Whenever I startup the computer, there is an access violation error.  To be precise: "Error: Access violation at 0x0041C9C8 (tried to write to 0x0041C9C8), program terminated."

I thought this issue was because of a malfunctioning program at startup.  So I thought maybe I would shut down the unnecessary programs at startup via msconfig.  I did that and the problem still persisted.  However this time only access violation address changed (as you see above).  The original access violation looked the same only the address was different.

So maybe that has a hand in the malfunction of my internet.

Any help at all would be immensely, immensely appreciated.

Cheers.

"I can ping google, yahoo successfully." Your internet connection seems fine I would suspect another problem with your computers. Can you post a MiniToolBox report please.

Here is one of your issues.

IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.12(Preferred)

   Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0

You don't have any subnet mask set. Try to hard-code the ip address of 192.168.1.12 with subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and default gateway of 192.168.1.1 and see what happens.

errr....I'm not sure I know how to do that.

Go into network and sharing center and select change adapter settings on the left hand side of the page. In the next window select your wireless network connection. Right click the connection and select properties. Next select IPV4 then click the properties tab. Mark the bubble use the following enter 192.168.1.12 for the ip 255.255.255.0 for the subnet 192.168.1.1 for the default gateway. For dns use 8.8.8.8

Nope.  I have a desktop, streaming device, several phones on the same network and none of them show any connectivity problems.

Can you try this for me as well just to rule it out of question.

Go to start-type cmd in the search box. when it highlights cmd then please open it.

Type these in order for me please:

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /registerdns

net stop "dns client"

net start "dns client"

nbstat -R

nbstart -RR

netsh winsock reset catalog

When prompted to restart the computer, then please restart.

If this don't fix the issue, we will go to another step.

Also, I may be missing it, but I'm not seeing a driver for the wireless Intel adapter in the list? Is the driver for the wireless currently installed and up to date?

Thanks for responding

This is what I got:

C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /flushdns

Windows IP Configuration

Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /registerdns

Windows IP Configuration

Registration of the DNS resource records for all adapters of this computer has been initiated.  Any errors will be reported in the Event Viewer in 15 minutes.

C:\Windows\system32>net stop "dns client"

The DNS Client service is stopping..

The DNS Client service could not be stopped.

C:\Windows\system32>net start "dns client"

The requested service has already been started.

More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2182.

C:\Windows\system32>nbstat -R

'nbstart' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

C:\Windows\system32>nbstart -RR

'nbstart' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Also it did not prompt me to restart

I did type in NET HELPMSG 2182 to see what would happen and it returned: The requested service has already been started.

Now that you mention it when I click the home button and go to the "Intel My Wifi Utility" it says that: Network adapter not found.  A supported Intel wireless network adapter was not found in this computer.

So apparently I don't have a wireless adapter?

it will only prompt you to restart if you typed the netsh winsock reset catalog command. Did you type that one as well, it's the last command in the list.

Here is the website that you can get the driver from.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3314&DwnldID=22547&ProductFamily=Wireless+Networking&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+Wi-Fi+Products&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Centrino%C2%AE+Wireless-N+1030&DownloadType=Software+Applications&OSFullname=Windows+7%2c+64-bit&lang=eng

The small file sizes are more than likely the driver. The larger file sizes are more than likely the software suite + driver. You only need the driver, and make sure to download the one for your current operating system.

Oops I missed that last command.  I re-entered all the commands and was prompted to restart but still nothing.

Then I downloaded the driver only: Wireless_15.6.1_Ds64.exe

I ran it and still nothing.  I restarted for good measure but still nothing.

The Intel MyWifi Utility still shows I have no network adapter.

When you go to device manager, and look under the network section. Where your adapter is located, is there a yellow exclamation point, or a red x, or any kind of errors?

You can find the device manager by type device manager in the search box.
