is there a way to get ie 8 for windows 8?

Not sure but why do you need IE8 in Windows 8? Might wanna see this link for another option to run XP and IE8 http://lifehacker.com/5965889/how-to-run-windows-xp-for-free-in-windows-8

I already have win 7 running on win 8. what about ie 9. im just not digging this ie 10 that came with the os.

It would take a little adjustment but you would see that its nothing more different with IE9 actually. :)
