Thank you I will give it a try.  First a couple of questions:

Was your computer desktop locked?

Were you unable to get into safemode?

Did you have a password to log into windows?

Thanks, Dee

I am in there looking and when I boot up by tapping f8 the following screen comes up:

Please select boot device:

SATA:WDC WD50000AAKX-001CAO

SATA: ATAPI Ihas224  B

Generic-compact Flash 1.00

Generic-SM/xD-Picture 1.00

Generic-SD/MMC 1.00

Generic-MS/MS-Pro 1.00

Enter Setup

use up and down arrows to move selection

Enter to select boot device

ESC to boot using defaults

Which should I chose?  no safemode with networking?
