The spire is now atop he Freedom tower in lower Manhattan.. now stands full height of 1,776 feet

I think it's cool too.  Not sure why it took so many years to build it after 9/11 but there it is.  Very nice.  Even though I live in Chicago I think New York deserves the tallest building honors.

I know it as/is a long time.. There was way too much time on bureaucracy. Almost done now.

 

BTW the Statue of Liberty will re open on the 4th of July from the Hurricane Sandy damage.
