My computer freezes for about 10-15 seconds everytime I boot.

Does not happen when I hibernate. Even afterwards, the RAM usage never falls below 50%, even though no applications are running. The internet connection is slow for a lot of time. And occasionally, my scroll gets locked or something; it just zooms in and out when I try to scroll...

Is my computer infected?? I have Windows 7 x64 with 4 Gigs of RAM.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

Out of curiosity have you tried booting up into safe mode and running any type of scan for Virus\Trojan infestation?

Also please post the make and model number of the computer in question.

Thanks in advance....

I have done that and found nothing. I have an Acer Travelmate P643-M.
