Hi all,

I recently upgraded my pc (replaced everything except the power supply, hard drives, and case) and have been dealing with BSODs ever since. I'm pretty sure it's not hardware compatibility issues, but I don't know what it is. Please help!

My specs:

MSI Z77 MPower Motherboard

Intel i5 3570 3.4G

EVGA Nividia GTX 650 Ti 2GB

GSkill RipJaws DDR3-1600 4GB x2

600W MSI Turbostream Gaming Edition Pwr. Sup.

ST3320620NS 320GB
ST3320620AS 320GB

Attached is the Attached File  BSOD.txt   32.49KB   5 downloads

Thanks in advanced

You get random error codes, this could indicate problem with RAM memory

RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump folder. Do you see any dmp logs from the folder?  If yes, then read the instruction below. If not, configure kernel memory dump debugging information under startup and recovery.

> Right-click My Computer and choose Properties.
> Go to Advanced System Settings - Advance Tab.
> Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings...
> Look for 'write debugging information' and use Kernel memory dump
> Checkmark overwrite any existing file

If there are latest created minidumps under C:\Windows\Minidump folder, please post the latest dmp logs (atleast 5) by :

> Highlight (holding ctrl key) and choosing the dmp logs by hitting enter or left mouse click.
> Right-click and choose send to desktop.
> When on desktop, highlight all dmp logs and right-click and send to compressed zipped folder.

> Upload and share the link by registering here https://www.box.com/
* minidumps log sample 010613 - 16676 -01.dmp -> 01 is for month - 06 for day - 13 is for year

Try downloading Speccy and then install the program.  To post and publish a snapshot of your PC.
. In the Menu bar, click File -> Publish Snapshot
. Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard
. On your next reply, right-click on a empty space and click Paste on reply box then click Post.

Download SecurityCheck.exe from Here

. Run SecurityCheck and follow the instruction from inside the code box.
. When the scan is finished, a notepad will automatically open as check.txt
Please copy and paste the contents here on your next reply.

Note : One of your bluescreen error points to AVG, please reinstall or remove it completely using the AVG removal tool but please proceed with the instructions above.

Were you able to install properly the correct  updated drivers (chipset, video, audio, network card) from the support site after reinstalling Windows and upgrading hardware? You can follow the link for memtest given by TwinHeadedEagle in order to test your RAM sticks as two minidumps already point to memory and device driver. Let's see what softwares are installed also -

Download MiniToolBox and open/run the program.
When open, checkmark or select all options then click Go.
A notepad will open then copy-paste the report on your next reply.

As far as drivers, I reformatted my hard drives, installed Windows, and installed the drivers that came with the hardware. Then when my internet was connected, I updated the drivers to the most current ones available for download.

Hi

Don't update drivers from Windows update. If you want the most recent driver available, install only LAN driver after formatting. This will give you internet access. Now go to the motherboard manufacturer site and download the driver available from there.

Yeah, that's exactly what I did. Everything is up to date.

Do you get bluescreen when not online and or while using the wireless adapter? Can you try removing Avira and see any improvements.

Hi -

The dumps point mostly to RAM or other hardware failure affecting RAMs ability to properly hold kernel code.

I found these networking related drivers among the 17 dump files -
bcmwlhigh664.sys Tue Apr 19 03:13:08 2011 (4DAD3604) - Broadcom USB wifi
athurx.sys Thu Oct 06 06:10:34 2011 (4E8D7E9A) - Atheros USB wifi
Rt64win7.sys Thu Feb 16 00:39:50 2012 (4F3C96A6) - Realtek Ethernet
Check for updates for all 3; they are old by Windows 7 SP1 standards.

Hi

Your Speccy report shows there are 2 RAM sticks in your system. I suspect one of them might be faulty. So remove either one of them and test. Plug one memory at a time will show which module is faulty.
