Hi again--it's the technically challenged intermediate user again--I get this message when I try to download

you do not have permission to update windows please contact your system administrator-I have a windows 7 system.  How can I fix this so I can move on to fix a previous posted problem?  Thanks much for any assistance.  I sure am grateful for all you who are beyond intermediate users!

Did you reinstall the Windows Installer as suggested in your other topic regarding this computer?

Are you using an Administrator user account?

I have not been able to download the Installer to correct that problem due to the problem about administrator privileges.  I am the owner and only user of this PC.  I am not sure how to set up to have administrator privileges.  I think that once I resolve this problem that I can download the installer.  Each time I try to download the Installer, I get the message about the administrator privileges.  Thanks for your assistance.

Try creating another user account and give it administrator privileges and see if you can do the download.
