Compaq back up files

so I'm working on a laptop Presario c700. intel pentium dual t2310 2 gigs ram.vista 32 bit. I back up the files on it to a flash drive and did a factory restore, i have the files for the back up, i click on it, windows asks for permission, i say okay and nothing happens.  any suggestions?

Thanks Broni, i downloaded the file and followed the directions to the T, still nothing.  all though i appreciate your suggestion, is there anything else i  can try?

What exactly are you trying to do?

Copy files from some external drive to your hard drive?
