I am currently running W7 off a USB drive. Unfortunately every single time I restart it boots into EFI. Very annoying. Thus I must F11 and select my USB drive, and all is well.

So now if I disable UEFI startup in the bios, and F11, the USB drive isn't even there to boot from.... any thoughts?

Why don't you install the operating system on the hdd and not have to mess around with this problem?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

I do not want to install the OS on the hard drive. This issue also applies to linux installs.

I set boot device to the USB, yet it still loads the EFI. ugh.
