Hey, registered here just to get help from you guys about my HP laptop. Lately it has started crashing when playing league of legends, it has crashed in the past too but only like once in few months, but now it has became daily.. somehow my laptop crashes in almost every game i play in LoL, and that has caused nearly getting banned for "leaving the game" and it really pisses me off

I've had 3 types of crashes: The screen fills up with colored lines, the screen just goes black, and it just freezes at what im doing at that moment until i force shut down my computer.

Any ideas on whats going on/what to do?

Hi Vamhiz

We need to gather some info about your system before beginning any troubleshooting steps. Please follow the directions below.

A ) Publish a snapshot of your system using Speccy. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/323892/publish-a-snapshot-using-speccy/

Don't paste the output of Speccy here. Just copy and paste the web link displayed by speccy.

B )  Minitoolbox:

Please download MiniToolBox, Save it to your desktop and run it. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/minitoolbox/

Checkmark only the the following boxes:

•List last 10 Event Viewer log

Hi

As a preliminary step we should try updating all you major drivers and uninstall some softwares. Please follow the below steps.

First we need to download all necessary drivers before uninstalling current version. The Speccy link you provided didn't mention the model name of your Laptop so i am unable to provide the exact download link. Please post the full model number in next reply. HP laptop drivers can be downloaded from this site - http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

If you are unclear about the exact model number refer this guide : http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c00033108

After finding the download page of your model, download and save Graphics, Chipset and Audio drivers to a temporary folder.

Before uninstalling current drivers make a new restore point by following this directions. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/697-system-restore-point-create.html

Open control panel-->Programs and features and uninstall the following items.

AMD Fuel
ATI Catalyst Install Manager
Catalyst Control Center - Branding
IDT Audio
LabelPrint
LightScribe System Software
HP CloudDrive

Also uninstall any catalyst control center remnants and anything starts with 'CCC' and restart the system. Now you should have 'Standard VGA adapter' for display and 'High definition audio device' for HD audio in device manager.

Now install Chipset, Audio and Graphics drivers.
