Sorry to say, but it appears my internet surfing habits has infected my Laptop(Windows7x64). Ive done everything i can or can think of to rid the infection myself, but there still seems to be noticeable symptoms while surfing the web(Firefox). Computer NOW boots and browses the web pretty good but i can still detect traces of an infection.

I no longer haver the seriousness of the symptoms i had initially such as Homepage being changed(Bing) extra toolbars, such as (Conduit) and being re-directed to advertisement when clicking on a link,  page cannot be displayed etc..Even had a rogue "Real Coverter" "update" appear in system tray(no longer)..but im still getting intermittent freezes and hang-ups. And Rogue installments of programs(yontoo etc).

1)MBAM, Windows Defender. House call, MS essentials and Super Anti Spyware found nothing(even in safemode).

2) It seems only "second opinion" scanners can detect anything.

a)Have log for ADw cleaner(found several infections in registry keys, files and folders). Same goes foe Hitman pro. And ESET found one infection as well.

HJT logs looks very suspicious.

Looking for some professional to guide me to the next step of this very stubborn infection. Thankyou!!!!!

p22002970.gif I'd suggest you uninstall Lavasoft Ad-Aware  as your AV and you switch to something better.

Install ONE of these:

- Avast! free antivirus: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

- free Microsoft Security Essentials: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/products/security-essentials
Note for Windows 8 users: Microsoft Security Essentials comes preinstalled and renamed as Windows Defender.
You can keep it or you have to disable it before installing another AV program.  How to...

- free Comodo Antivirus: http://www.comodo.com/home/internet-security/antivirus.php

Update, run full scan, report on any findings.

When done...

p22002970.gif Download Temp File Cleaner (TFC)
Alternate download: http://www.itxassociates.com/OT-Tools/TFC.exe
Double click on TFC.exe to run the program.
Click on Start button to begin cleaning process.
TFC will close all running programs, and it may ask you to restart computer.

=============================================================================

p22002970.gif Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Delete.
  • Confirm each time with Ok.
  • Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

=============================================================================

p22002970.gif Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
  • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
  • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
  • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message.

=======================================

p22002970.gif Please run a free online scan with the ESET Online Scanner

  • Disable your antivirus program
  • Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use
  • Click Start
  • Accept any security warnings from your browser.
  • Check Scan archives
  • Click Start
  • ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.
  • When the scan completes, click on List of found threats
  • Click on Export to text file , and save the file to your desktop using a unique name, such as ESETScan. Include the contents of this report in your next reply.
NOTE. If Eset doesn't find any threats it'll NOT produce any log.

Thankyou for your help!

NOTES: Ant-viruse scans came up empty. ESset frooze twice at half way through.

JRT when first installed, flashed a command prompt and dissapeared. Hours lated(uninstalled) and tried the download again and was able to see it run

IMPORTANT: Internet explorer wont let me download any security tools from this(or any other) site at all. When i use FF another TAB tries to open(to website) then dissapears, followed by an instant PROMPT to download software. IVe become very suspicious whether or not its a "legitimate version"

Example: In download prompt menu box>(from malwarebytes.org to cnet???)>( Opening mbam-setup-1.75.0.1300.exe

(icon)mbam-setup-1.75.0.1300.exe

which is a: Binary File(9.8MB)

from: http// software-files-a.cnet.com

Is his the correct download????

Even when i try to download AVAST from the link above it takes me to CNET.com

Also when i DO download with FF the files seem to corrupt. BY downloading instantly, or starting half-way through or ending too early.

Programs seem to be cloning themselves in the Add/remove programs. My search function is not working in the start menu.

It seems to be doing OK-(a little better after resetting FF settings)But my HJT logs say otherwise. Do you see anything i can delete there? What i'll do is uninstall everything, try sytem restore, and install those software programs, from a flash drive. Should i run combofix or rogue killer?

Mod Edit:  Removed unrequested HJT log - Hamluis.

I was able to confirm my theory ablout corrupt downloads by saving a web page.. On 4 different occasions, the files sizes were significantly different.. And when i try to view the(downloaded) web page, the top half to 3/4 of the page is solid black. Its apperent that anything i download is corrupt, thereby rendering it ineffective. Also Hitman pro deteced 35 tracking cookies from such and such.com from websites with very weird names i never visited. Very strange. Could this be Zero Access Trojan. Please help.

Update: Networking in Safe mode, i ran ESET online scanner with Opera and picked up2 Trojans.

Win/32Open candy Virus

Win32/Bundled.Toolbar.Ask

I then Ran RKill and sure enough a dialogu box popped up after the scan and said "you should now be able to run your normal anti-virus to scan for infections"

heres the log, in case ur interested.
