Recently came upon this and was wondering if this is an error that needs to be addressed. OS Win 7x64

FontCache => %SystemRoot%\system32\svchost.exe -k LocalService [Incorrect ImagePath]

Again - came upon this where? Like and error message popped up that you had to press ok to continue? And does this happen all the time?

Ok that makes more sense... I would say if it happened all the time then it would be an issue - for right now and error reports you posted I would recommend getting rid of WOT. It looks like your Internet Explorer is hanging because of it. You can always get it back from mywot.com.

Thanks for the interpretation and suggestion. I thought WOT would be an additional layer of security and that is why I downloaded it. However if it is going to cause to cause conflict within my OS I will uninstall. Didn't think it would cause a problem.

Regards.........

@Hamluis,

Hope I did Speccy correct in previous post. Do you require additional info? Uninstalled WOT but IE9 continuously loops until I refresh. Don't know what is causing this.

Hope you can offer suggestions or possible causes.

Thanks

Your Speccy is fine...but I don't see anything useful until we look at what Event Viewer reflects.  Did you follow the suggestion unload WOT?

Let's try the following:

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html .

Double-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When autoscan is done (screen comes up), click Edit/Select All...then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.

Louis

Hi Louis,

Yes I did uninstall WOT. And I did download BlueScreenView and there was nothing shown as the results window was empty. I did run TFC

yesterday after uninstalling WOT. Could this have been the cause. Sorry if I messed up and am sure it gets to be exasperating when trying

to help those of us who are not-so-tech-savvy. :( Thanks for your patience and help. I promise that I will endeavor to follow directions.

Thanks :), it's not unusual for there to be no dump files, this sytem doesn't reflect any either (I don't have them) and you don't seem to have any of those apps installed which deletes dump files.

Just to be sure that your settings are correct...see the Win 7 procedure at Configure Windows To Create Dump Files On BSOD - http://blog.nirsoft.net/2010/07/27/how-to-configure-windows-to-create-minidump-files-on-bsod/ and make sure the settings result in the creation of a dump file (whenever you do have a BSOD).

That error message that you reported...seems to be connected with various reports of malware.

To eliminate that possibility, I'm moving your topic to the Am I Infected forum for a look.

Before I do that...how is your system running since the removal of WOT and elimination of temp files?

Louis

Hi Louis,

Thanks so much for your help and guidance. I went to the thread you provided and followed instructions then re-booted. Not really experiencing any issues at this

point other than when I connect to internet. My ISP is Att.net and when I connect the att.net bar sometimes continues to loop. I can get it to stop after refreshing.

Doesn't seem normal though. I was wondering if there was some program that I should run to see if " Image Path Error " is still showing up.

Regards.....Mike

You can rerun the MintToolbox and post the results.
