http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Are you running it from the site or saving it to desktop before running it? What if any error are you getting?

I'm using google chrome. I click it, it downloads, and when it's done, I run it. But when i run it, the only options it has for me to click is "Open" and "Cancel". So I click "open" and nothing happens at all. I tried rebooting (about 20 times) and I still had the problem of the windows not going down to the taskbar. I don't get any errors, nothing happens after i click "open"

When you click OPEN, you should get a new screen that advises you that a system reboot is called for.

I just downloaded that file and ran it on this system.

i do not get that screen. After the open, nothing at all happens. I've tried rebooting it after the open, even though nothing came up but it does not work.

OK, back to basics :).

What made you decide that you need to run that file?  What do you expect it to do to your system?

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:

List last 10 Event Viewer log

  List Installed Programs

List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic323892.html/page__p__1797792#entry1797792 , taking care to post the link.
