I have a Toshiba Qosmio X505/500.

I keep having problems with audio.

The sound will become crackling and buzzy and then no sound at all although when I look at the speaker bar it is green and moving.

I go to Control Panel and perform a Sound test. It shows the sound as moving and test results comes out ok but I don't hear anything.

I have updated the Driver but problem persist.

Please advise.

A good first step would be to try headphones/earbuds to see if they sound the same. If headphones are normal, the speakers would be suspect.

headphones started off with sound then died.

I ran a test. It shows the sound bar is moving but nothing can be heard.

Is your playback devices somehow getting switched on the Toshiba? Try and check your playback devices under the speaker icon, and make sure that the right one is selected.
