So I just got the email yesterday about the delayed shipping of the Leap Motion.

Anyone else pre-order it? I've had my pre-order in for almost a year now.

Any thoughts on how it will be?

I am very much looking forward to it, its going to be a great device.

Had never heard of it. Looks interesting.

Here is a link for anyone else interested: https://www.leapmotion.com/

I probably should have considered that haha

I think its going to be great, even though I dont do much with 3d modeling or anything, I think the occassional game and things will be a lot of fun.

I know that a lot of you will think "gorilla arm" (Section 5.4) but for the occassional use its going to be awesome.

A lot of the talk is about what the developers are doing with it, making invisible keyboard apps, straight touch screen (no 3D aspect), dual/triple monitor support, all sorts of things.

Hmmm...I AM from Missouri and there seems to be an awful lot of rhetoric about what it WILL or MAY do...which is to be expected from anyone promoting a product, IMO.

It remains to be seen what initial users may think about the promises versus reality.

I have been on the forums, and the developers (which they sent out over 20,000 developer kits worldwide) have been working on all sorts of things, as far as what will come to be real products I cannot attest to but what people have been working on, and I have seen videos of, there are all sorts of things that look very promising that I would hope they actually put into it.

Leap is really nice...We were among the lucky ones that received one device and we successfully integrated our social board app, Pinobo, with it.

Its response is quite good and the feeling is really amazing when using it.

Personally, I am looking forward to its official release in June!   :)

Take a taste:
