Computer Freezes and crashes during Virus scan...help please

ok i have a fujisu laptop notebook thats running windows vista, i have mcafee virus scan and everytime i run the full computer scan at about 70% my computer freezes at system.dll file. how can i fix this?

These are the steps which I would recommend you.


1. Try reinstalling McAfee and then try to run the scan

2. Try to delete the file if it is not a system file.

3. Try running a check disk at the start up

You may follow these steps to run the check disk

Go to command prompt and type Chkdsk /f /r

type "Y" if it ask you permission and reboot your computer

Allow the scan to complete at the startup and try to run the scan
