I built a new computer but kept my same graphics card.  When I use to do computer animations on my old computer, the graphics card would 'whirrrr' loudly.  Why do you think it acts more quietly?  I upgraded the PSU, added more RAM, gave it a better CPU.

Have you checked if the card has its own fan ?? Is this fan still operating ??

If the answers are both YES, the fan is just being slower or setting up to run still -

Check it with the side open to see the fan operating -
