Purpose: ~$800 gaming and future-proofish rig.  Doesn't need to play hardcore realistic games on max settings.  Not planning on overclocking.  I only got the K cpu version because the difference was $5.

  • $220 - CPU - Intel Core i5-3570K (3.4ghz-3.8ghz)

  • $170 - GPU - EVGA GTX 650 Ti Boost (2gb, 192bit)

  • $135 - MOBO - ASUS P8Z77-V LK (sata6, usb3, uefi)

  • $95 - HDD - WD Black 1TB (7200rpm, sata6)

  • $90 - CASE - Rosewill Blackhawk (5 fans, usb3 front)

  • $80 - PSU - OCZ Modular 600W (80+ cert)

  • $63 - RAM - G.Skill RipjawsX 2x4gb (1600mhz)

  • $20 - ODD - Asus 24X CD/DVD Burner

  • -$55 for CPU+MOBO combo deal

  • -$20 case discount coupon until 4/24

    Total = $798

Any suggestions before purchase?  Other cases with good airflow and usb3 on front?
Thank you.

What specific OCZ PSU?  Any provision for better CPU cooling?

PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341017

Yes, probably should buy a CPU fan even if not overclocking.

Perhaps Cooler Master Hyper TX3 (92mm, $20) or 212+ (120mm fan, $30)?

As far as the PSU, I don't know how long OCZ is going to stay in business.  Rumors are flying now and OCZ might not be able to honor it's warranty commitments in the future.  Not anything solid, but something to consider.  As far as the actual PSU, middle of the road, nothing to make me want it over a Seasonic or Corsair unit.  Here is a low end Corsair modular http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139048&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo

600 watt, 3 year warranty, $60 after rebate.  If you look around and watch specials you can walk into really good 600 watt class PSUs for about $60-70.

Coolers- I have a Hyper 212+ on the wife's rig, and it is a great piece (the cooler).  Gotta be the best bang for the buck out there (the cooler that is).

EDIT:  You know, it is always nice to have a really good cooler, especially on an Ivy bridge.  Figure also you will be scanning through the BIOS one day, and you will say, "Boy, that multiplier is just begging to be tweeked."  Before you  know it you will be running at 4.5ghz with a big ol' grin on your face.
