Has anyone else tried unsubscribing from PHM?  I have done it for about two weeks now probably 30-40 times still coming!

Hi -

Can you please be a bit more specific with Pan Handle Media -

There are many items listed as Pan Handle Media, and I am trying to find the specific version.

Do you have a link to the site ? When and how did you subscribe to this news feed ??

Thank You -

PHM is an email advertiser, small businesses.  The company is out of St Louis, they seem relentless.

Hi -

I have searched for many links to the company you mention, but all draw a blank ??

Pan Handle Media of St Louis, or simple, Panhandle Media, or any similar link via Google turns no result, or just a mix of totally unrelated sites to the one that is plaguing you at this time.

I do need a better url or link to the actual site to find the company and a removal link for you -

Have you run these removers - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ <

Close all open programs and browsers as your computer will reboot when completed.

If required Temp Disable your Antivirus while the program loads and runs.

Double click on the new icon, or Right click and select Run as Administratot for Vista or Win7 users.

Select DELETE and confirm with OK when prompted.
AdwCleaner is a program that searches for and deletes Adware, Toolbars, Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP), and browser Hijackers from your computer.

By using AdwCleaner you can easily remove many of these types of programs for a better user experience on your computer and while browsing the web.

A log will be opened on reboot - Please post it back here.

Thank You -

So you get these via mail? Put the sender on your SPAM list.

OK -

You say there is no email program on your computer, so do these just come as Pop-ups on the screen ? ?

Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Pop-up Blocker - Make sure this is turned ON -

If you do not see Tools, press the ALT key and you will see the menu at the top.

While there continue down to Internet Options > Click Security > Make sure the "Slider" is set to at least Medium-High and the box for Enable Protection Mode is ticked. Next under Privacy Tab > Make sure the 3 boxes are ticked and the "Slider" is set to Medium High, (Default is only Medium) also click on Sites and add the name of that Panhandle site -

These settings should stop many of these type of programs from accessing your computer -

Try them, and let us know in one or 2 days so we can reset them if needed.

Thank You -

EDIT -

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

*Close all open programs and internet browsers now, as your system will Auto Reboot when finished.
*Double click on Adwcleaner.exe (desktop Icon) to run the tool.
*Click on Delete.
*Confirm each time with OK.
*Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.

*Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
*You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

It is strictly in coming emails with no ill effects on the computer just very anoying, I have used the ubsubscribe feature dozens of times to no avail.  I guess what I really need is where to report this company, there must be some sort of law governing the right to unsubscribe.

Hi -

You most likely now need to contact your server Optonline.

This seems to be how they access you, so you could notify them and ask them to block all PHM items.

AdAware was just put in to clear out anything they may have sent you and you still want to remove.

I would still check your settings are altered as described above for "general security" -

Regards -
