Everytime I do a speedtest in IE10,Chrome,Firefox I get 60/80ms and 75/85Mbps on a 100Mbps connection. All browsers updated. Also I get more spikes of speeds in windows 7.

In Windows 8 on same pc (Dual boot) I get 10ms and 102/105Mbps in the same browsers. No spikes.

I run exactly the same antivirus, AVG pro 2013, same browser addons etc. Both Os`s setup the same.

Has anyone any ideas on why?

What test site did you use?

I myself...would expect differences between O/Ses...just as I would expect differences in every possible comparison of O/S function.

Networking is just part of the O/S build and I would see no reason to expect similarities in performance for specified tasks.

Ditto with browsers.
