Are you able to provide the full error or a screenshot of the error? How long has the error been occurring? It could be the program itself. Any recent changes to your system? Have you tried reinstalling the app?

I'd run a scan with Malwarebytes just to be safe.

I don't have a screenshot at the moment but when it happens again I will get one....it reads exactly what I typed and the numbers are all zeros. Been happening for about a week, nothing new done to computer and malwarebytes along with avast full scan and boot-time scan comes back clean.....I have not un or reinstalled avast.....yet.....

I would uninstall/reinstall Avast, as a check for possible program corruption.

p22002970.gif Download Security Check from here or here and save it to your Desktop.

  • Double-click SecurityCheck.exe
  • Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
  • Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.

NOTE 1. If one of your security applications (e.g., third-party firewall) requests permission to allow DIG.EXE access the Internet, allow it to do so.
NOTE 2 SecurityCheck may produce some false warning(s), so leave the results reading to me.

Also, never mind the mouse issue. When using a different mouse it works just fine, so apparently I just need a new mouse and that issue is unrelated to my computers strange behavior.

Any ideas why that security check did not work?

Try to create a new user with administrator rights, and run the file on the desktop

Worked like a charm.....

 Results of screen317's Security Check version 0.99.63
 Windows 7 Service Pack 1 x64 (UAC is enabled)
 Internet Explorer 9
``````````````Antivirus/Firewall Check:``````````````
 Windows Firewall Enabled!
avast! Antivirus
 Antivirus up to date!
`````````Anti-malware/Other Utilities Check:`````````
 Malwarebytes Anti-Malware version 1.75.0.1300
 Java 7 Update 21
 Adobe Flash Player 11.7.700.169
 Adobe Reader XI
 Mozilla Firefox (21.0)
````````Process Check: objlist.exe by Laurent````````
 AVAST Software Avast AvastSvc.exe
 AVAST Software Avast AvastUI.exe
`````````````````System Health check`````````````````
 Total Fragmentation on Drive C: 1%
````````````````````End of Log``````````````````````
So why wouldn't it work on my administrator account?
