MS-DOS problem

sir i use windows7 operating system
due to virus in my pc i can acess the dos (command prompt)
but i cant use any commands
i.e. in DOS if i type "help" than it give me ans like :
'help' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file
sir please give me solution to access and use the command of DOS

like attrib,dir, etc
