Ocasionally when trying to download something from the net, it asks me what my internet DSL connection speed is, (256 or 768) but I don't know. How can I find out?
I'm on AOL broadband.

Thanks, it tells me my download speed is 10.76 Mbps.
Does that equate to 256k or 768k?

Review the terms of your contract with your ISP...or simply call your ISP and ask :).

I've combed my AOL documentation with no luck, and if I phone them i'll be put in the queue on hold for the usual 20 minutes or more (it's not a free number), but I suppose i'll have to get onto them if I have to.

Incidentally this is the screen that asks me for the speed, beats me why they need to know-

Your initial statement of what your DSL speed was, was misleading. You have cable speeds of 10MB per second. So your choice for steam would be the highest one 10M.

I'm not on Cable/Fibre so is it still ok for me to select 10M?
