On my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop I've had several recent, odd problems with the audio/video.
The video or audio will suddenly freeze in a loop of the last sound (imagine the last sound was a 'g' sound and it going 'ggggggggggggggggggg') for a few seconds. The video will also usually freeze and then it 'catches up' and starts working again.
So far I've done multiple spyware/malware/virus checks with various software, including Spybot, Malwarebytes, AVG, Microsoft Security Scanner and Kaspersky rescue disk. I did find the remnants of a hijacker I'd found earlier but the scanner cleaned it up.
I also have updated any and all audio and video drivers I could think of, updated browsers, updated my video and audio players and updated Adobe Flash Player. None of these seem to work and I was so sure with Flash since the error occurs both for online videos as well as DVDs.
This error is very annoying and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I sure don't want to do a factory restore on this thing again.
