Hi Can someone help me out here? I have a dell dimension 2350 ..when I turn it on windows (xp home edition) attempts to start but thats all it does it does not start it stays there..I went in threw the f 10 key and did a system test everything passed except two test errors that were ide cdrom confedence test result code 0f00-133 d this was posted on the screen twice,,,What does this mean? thank you

You may want to try and press "F8" as the computer is booting
-This will take you to an advanced start up page where you can try some different boot options to troubleshoot your problem here.

TRY SAFE MODE FIRST

I did I set it to last good configuration.................Nothing

attempts to start but thats all it does it does not start it stays there

Stays were? How far does it get? (i.e. welcome screen, logon screen, ect).
Kinda need an idea at what point it comes to a halt. :thumbsup:

It stops at the welcome screen hun....thank you in advance for helping me on this...

ok I have it back up and running windows runs fine but now when i open the media player it tells me I have no sound card...any suggestions?
